Energy Storage Systems

Advancements in energy storage technology has resulted in superior energy densities and lower cost in batteries. As a result, there has been a rapid increase in availability of new power electronic equipment such as portable power stations (PPS) and energy storage systems (ESS). Such equipment need low size and weight for portability, high peak power and bi-directional operation to perform both battery charging and AC power delivery, all of which must be made available at very competitive price-points accessible to consumers for diverse purposes such as recreation and trade.
