AC Powered Fans

Qorvo technology supports a wide range of AC-powered fans including ceiling fans and industrial fans.

Controllers for these devices are typically designed using many discrete power and control components. These applications have strict requirements on application performance and behavior such as audible noise and gracefully changing the motor direction.

Qorvo’s family of controllers are able to implement these applications in a very small form factor. Some include optional motor peripheral integration and support voltages up to 600V. Qorvo-provided firmware for these controllers can contain support for silent start-up, starting a fan that is already in motion and other key system-level application features of AC-powered fans.
