EV Charging
Qorvo's SiC FETs and Schottky diodes enable designers to achieve high-efficiency, compact size and robust operation in electric vehicle charging solutions of all kinds:
- Floor-mounted, free-standing DC (direct current) fast chargers or charging piles that deliver hundreds of kilowatts of power at high voltages such as 800V
- Compact DC wall-boxes and pedestal DC chargers installed in homes, offices and shopping centers that supply tens of kilowatts of power
- Wireless EV charging floor pads and in-vehicle receiver modules, transferring tens or hundreds of kilowatts of power with no physical cables
Qorvo's SiC JFETs are useful for designing compact and reliable solid state circuit breakers and other circuit protection blocks in Level I and Level II AC (alternating current) chargers.
With a broad portfolio of FETs, JFETs and diodes ranging from 650 V to 1700 V, Qorvo's SiC products enable designers to optimize their overall system efficiency, size and cost while minimizing the effort needed to solve common challenges such as thermal management.
