    • Power Dissipation of 210 mW
    • Small die size of 1.8 x 1.0 x 0.1 mm

The QPA4971D is a 50 GHz wideband amplifier that is optimized to drive EML devices in PAM 4 based optical modulators. By employing a simple Single Ended input and Output architecture, this device dissipates only 210 mW, the lowest available solution in the industry for 56 Gbaud PAM 4 optical systems. The device also is an excellent choice for systems needing a wideband amplifier such as test and measurement or electronic countermeasures.

The Qorvo QPA4971D is a wideband MMIC which can be utilized as a Gain Block Driver or Low Noise Amplifier. Drain bias may be applied through the output port for best efficiency or through the on-chip drain termination. RF ports are DC coupled enabling the user to customize system corner frequencies. The QPA4971D requires offchip decoupling and blocking components.
