Qorvo prides itself on the success of its social and environmental programs and performance. However, we cannot do it alone. We are a team — Qorvo and its suppliers — working together to satisfy the needs and requirements of the most technologically advanced customers in the world.
Whether you do business with Qorvo directly or indirectly, how you conduct business is important to us. Learn more about our supply chain expectations related to social responsibility, responsible sourcing, and product compliance using the drop downs below.
When establishing relationships with new suppliers, we educate them on Qorvo’s requirements for maintaining safe, ethical and humane business practices. These requirements are communicated through multiple channels, including Qorvo’s supplier portals, standard terms & conditions, supplier contracts, and other related documents.
We also engage with industry groups such as the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) and other organizations to discuss supply chain standards and share best practices with our industry peers.
We provide a variety of training opportunities and tools to help suppliers comply with Qorvo’s standards. As a member of the RBA, we also leverage RBA training programs to help suppliers understand the RBA code of conduct, labor risks, workers’ rights, responsible mineral sourcing and more.
At Qorvo, we strive to ensure clear communication of requirements to our suppliers. To meet Qorvo’s expectations on product compliance, responsible sourcing, and social responsibility, Qorvo suppliers are required to:
Social Responsibility
As a member of the RBA, Qorvo aligns with the RBA Code of Conduct and requires such compliance in its Supplier Code of Conduct. The RBA code looks at key elements such as labor, heath and safety, environment, ethics and management systems, and is foundational to Qorvo’s commitment to protecting human rights and the environment.
All new Qorvo suppliers must complete an RBA developed Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) prior to being approved. Strategic suppliers are required to complete this questionnaire annually. Additional actions, such as corrective actions or third-party audits, may be required depending on the level of risk identified. RBA membership requires Qorvo to audit a certain percentage of "high risk" suppliers. However, Qorvo understands the importance of third-party monitoring and requests all strategic suppliers participate in the RBA Validated Assessment Program to verify compliance against the RBA code. Audits are completed on a two-year cadence.
Responsible Sourcing
Qorvo has aligned its Responsible Minerals Program with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas, and our suppliers are expected to do the same.
Conflict Minerals
On a bi-annual basis, we assess supplier conflict minerals data against Qorvo's policies and expectations for responsible 3TG sourcing. Suppliers are required to submit a Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) identifying the 3TG smelters/refiners used for materials supplied to Qorvo. We review supplier CMRTs to determine the level of risk and identify potential gaps with compliance. The results of our reviews are communicated to suppliers, along with any feedback and/or actions that may be required. For details on our review process, refer to Qorvo's CMRT Review Criteria (SPE-001287).
Emerging Risks
Qorvo has updated its responsible minerals program to extend beyond the scope of 3TG. As a result, surveys for additional minerals may be required of suppliers. However, suppliers will be notified by Qorvo if/when they are expected to submit such due diligence information on additional minerals used in their supply chains (i.e., cobalt).
