GREENSBORO, NC – November 17, 2020 – Qorvo® (Nasdaq:QRVO), a leading provider of innovative RF solutions that connect the world, today introduced a low noise amplifier (LNA) for electronic warfare (EW), phased array radar and communications system applications where low noise figure, low power consumption and small size are critical to mission success. The amplifier supports the full 6-18 GHz band and features an industry best low noise figure of 1.4 dB across the 12 GHz bandwidth.
The Qorvo CMD328K3 is a high-performance, broadband low noise amplifier GaAs MMIC that delivers greater than 27 dB of gain with a corresponding low power consumption of 52mA and 3V. The CMD328K3 is a 50 ohm matched design that eliminates the need for external DC blocks and RF port matching. It delivers these benefits in a leadless, 3x3 mm plastic surface mount package designed for ease of integration and is an alternative to larger and more costly hybrid amplifiers.
With its flat low noise figure and high gain over the entire frequency range, the CMD328K3 will enable EW systems designers to deliver the high system signal sensitivity required to detect today’s smaller, faster and smarter targets before they become a true threat.
The CMD328K3, with the following specifications, is available now to qualified customers.
Frequency Range | 6 - 18 GHz |
Gain | 27dB |
Noise Figure | 1.4dB |
Input Return Loss | 15dB |
Output Return Loss | 15dB |
Supply Current | 52mA |
Package Size | 3 x 3 mm |
