July 29, 2016 – Qorvo's Corporate Marketing team was recognized with two Telly Awards in July for the "Uniting as Qorvo" video created to help commemorate our first 18 months as Qorvo. The 3-minute video recapped 18 months of brand-building activities with our employees, customers, sales force, journalists, Board of Directors and many other stakeholders. The video was a tribute to the successful merger of TriQuint and RFMD, bringing together a team and 30-year heritage to create a new name and new global brand.
Qorvo's VP of Marketing Brandi Frye was recognized as executive producer and video production partner Spirit Media was recognized for producing "United as Qorvo," which earned two Telly Awards in the categories of 'corporate image' and 'employee communication' for a non-broadcast production. The Telly Awards program was founded in 1979 to honor excellence in local, regional and cable TV commercials. The award has evolved and now represents the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporations around the world.
Shortly after the merger, Qorvo's Corporate Marketing team partnered with Spirit Media, a Portland-based creative marketing agency, to assist with the rollout of the new Qorvo brand. A key deliverable in that partnership was to produce the "United as Qorvo" video recapping our first 18 months as a leader in RF. Photos and video footage of employees taken during Day 1 and Day 100 celebrations at nearly 40 Qorvo sites provided fun and compelling content needed to create the award-winning production.
In accepting the two Telly Awards, Brandi Frye said, "With over 13,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, our Qorvo Corporate Marketing team is elated that our work has received this industry recognition. These Telly Awards are testament to the hard-working employees at Qorvo who strive every day to build the Qorvo brand."
