Driving three-phase BLDC/PMSM motors requires different levels of intelligence to ensure the proper magnetization sequence is successfully generated. Using a microcontroller allows motor drive designers to embed multiple techniques which permit the final solution to benefit from enhanced performance and optimal efficiency.
